• LifeCare Ambulance Communications Center serves as the communication center for all ambulance activities in LifeCare's 1400 square mile primary 911 coverage area. The communication center currently serves communities with requests for service from 7 Public Safety Access Points (911 Centers) throughout Southwest Michigan.
• LifeCare's Communications Center includes High-tech workstations that run state of the art ZollData computer aided dispatch (CAD)software. The communication center tracks each of our ambulances with AVL/GPS to ensure our customers get the closest, appropriate ambulance in response to their 9-1-1 emergency.
• Another program of value to our customers is Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD). 9-1-1 callers are routed to our center and lifesaving "Pre-arrival" instructions are started while EMS units are enroute to the call. This is accomplished by a sophisticated software called ProQa developed by Medical Priority Consultants.
• LifeCare also monitors Personal Emergency Response Sytems such as LifeLine and Mainstreet Messenger. This unique linkage to EMS makes for a highly effective response center.

LifeCare dispatch/field communications utilizes a backbone Telex Vega Nexus IP based radio network.    FleetEyes mapping also ingests Computer Aided Dispatch data and populates the incident screens for crews to obtain routing information.

Dispatchers and Field Crews use FleetEyes for AVL position information, call location and routing.

Ambulances are secure mobile wireless hotspots allowing flexible connection options for electronic patient care reporting.  Crews utilize Sansio HealthEms integrated with their cardiac monitors to generate patient care records.
